After check-out, we will reach out to you via email or phone to coordinate the shipping date. The snakes are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight to your local shipping hub unless there are extenuating circumstances. We only ship Tuesday for Wednesday delivery and Wednesday for Thursday delivery in order to potentially avoid delays of the animal in shipping. These measures are all taken in order to minimize stress on the animal as well as to maximize it's safety. 

We feed all of our ball pythons live feeders. We cannot guarantee that they will transition to frozen/thawed. Most new owners do find success as long as they allow their new scaley friend to adjust to their new environment and then make this switch. We recommend a minimum of two live feedings in their new home and then switch on the third feeding to f/t.

We do offer local pick-up! If this is the route you would like to go, reach out to us directly via email at jen@cigarcityexotics.com or give us a call at (813)360-1254. Local pick-up would occur in Lakeland, FL. and typically occurs in the evening or on weekends. We also offer show pick-up if we are vending and you would like to pick up your new addition there! 

A majority of what you will need can be purchased on Amazon. You can usually find a terrarium at any local pet store. Make sure you can lock the lid or doors in place because ball pythons are known to be escape artists. Besides a tank, you will also want a CHE with a thermostat, substrate, one or two hides, a water bowl, and greenery to provide plenty of cover. The minimum size tank you need is a 20 gallon long. While the kits that are sold at most big box stores may be appealing, a lot of the contents in those kits are not correct for keeping ball pythons in, which is why we do not advise purchasing those. When notating the sex of a ball python, you will commonly see 1.0, 0.1, etc.. When you see the number before the period it is indicating it is a male, while the number after the period is indicating a female. On rare occasion, you may find 0.1.0 which indicates that it is not sexed. When reviewing what we have available, it will always only be male or female.
